Log in and your account

Elite Reef Systems uses your email address to create a ReefSync account and allow you to log in securely. Supabase processes your account and registration; the project is located in Ireland. Resend sends the login emails. The website is hosted by Vercel. These services also process technical data required for security and delivery, such as times and IP addresses. Account emails are not a newsletter.

What is where?

Your email address, visible username, account identification and login details are stored at Supabase. Passwords are processed by Supabase Auth, not stored as clear text in your account data. The website stores the login session in the browser; the new native Water version uses your phone's secure storage. Logout deletes the session on this device. On a shared device, use the log out button.

Your aquarium data, manual water measurements and imported ICP results are saved directly to your account with Supabase in Ireland when you save a change. When opening Water, the account details are retrieved; you do not need to restore any data. Internet is required for retrieval and storage. Imported report data can include a file name and report number; the original PDF file is not saved. The new Light version uses the same account for lamp selection, light settings and saved profiles. Older installed versions need to be updated for this. Your shopping cart is also automatically saved in your account. If you choose to keep your shipping address, we will also save your name, shipping address and contact email address for subsequent orders. You can change the address before checkout or disable retention. When starting the payment step, the required order and address information is sent to the payment server and Stripe. The payment server on Vercel stores the order with Supabase: products, amounts, shipping address, payment status and the associated adjustment plan. This order information belongs to your account so you can access the status and plan later. A change to your saved address will not change a previous order. We do not store card numbers and other payment credentials in your ReefSync account. The store is still running in test mode.

Order confirmations

Resend processes your name, email address, order number, product lines and amounts to send an order confirmation. The email contains a link to your secure order overview, no login token or water measurements. We save the shipping status to avoid duplicate messages. In the current test phase, these emails are only sent to the set test address.

Save and delete

We will keep your account for as long as you use it and until you request deletion. Would you like to view, correct your data or have your account deleted? Contact us at info@elitereefsystems.nl, preferably from your account email address. We verify your identity before changing account information. Measurements and settings of the current version are in your account. You can delete downloaded reports and PDF files on your own devices yourself.
